About Tulsa Welding School
Founded by two welders in 1949, TWS is one of the country's best-known welding schools — and today trains far more than welders. Campuses in Tulsa OK, Houston TX, Jacksonville FL, and Irving TX (Dallas metro) offer programs in welding, electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, electro-mechanical technologies, and electrical lineworker training, all under ACCSC institutional accreditation.
Most skilled trades programs run about 7 months in a hybrid format — online theory with hands-on labs on campus — and select campuses offer Saturday schedules for working students. TWS cites a Georgetown University study ranking its Houston and Jacksonville campuses in the top 5% of colleges nationwide for return on investment.
The HVAC program includes EPA Section 608, 609, and R-410A certification preparation, and welding students can pursue an Associate of Occupational Studies in Welding Technology at select campuses.
