Are you a high school senior looking for scholarships to help you continue your education in college? Do you intend to attend one of the numerous participating career school campuses across the country? The Imagine America Foundation's scholarships for high school seniors program can help.

The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!

The Foundation works with more than 20,000 high school counselors across the country. Graduating high school seniors who meet the recommended guidelines are eligible to receive a $1,000 tuition discount that can be used at career colleges participating in the Imagine America Scholarship High School Scholarships Program throughout the nation.

Our High School applications run from September of your senior year until December 31st of the year you graduated, ensuring you meet the latest deadlines for scholarships for high school seniors.

Qualifications

Only recent high school graduates who meet the following recommended guidelines should apply:

Likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education
High school grade point average of 2.5 or greater (suggested)
Financial need
Demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year

Apply For Your Scholarship

Application Process

Step 1: Create your profile on our portal page: www.iafportal.org.

Step 2: Follow the prompts for creating your account.

Step 3: Once you’ve created your account, you’ll need to complete your profile before applying for a scholarship. Fill out your profile completely and save it.

Step 4: After you’ve successfully saved your profile, click on the tab "Apply for Scholarships" on the left-hand navigation.

Step 5: Under "Type" select "HS" if you are a graduating high school in this calendar year. Then find the school you wish to apply for by using the "Program of Interest" or the "State" search features.

Step 6: After you’ve selected your school, review the information and apply for the scholarship.

Step 7: To complete your application, you will need watch the entire FPMS video, which should automatically populate after submitting your application. If you do not have time to watch the FPMS video immediately after submitting your application, you can always log back in and watch it by selecting the "Video" tab in your left-hand navigation. After completing the video, select the red button that says "Submit and Complete."

Step 8: Your application has now been sent to your guidance counselor for review. Once they approve your application, your application is then sent to the college for their review. Your college also will have received an email stating that you have applied for our scholarship. Please check in with your college to see that it has everything it needs from you. Once the school has decided, you will receive an email informing you about the scholarship decision.
