About High Desert Medical College
HDMC began classes at its Lancaster campus in 2003 and has grown into three California campuses — Lancaster, Bakersfield (opened 2008), and Temecula (opened 2018, steps from Temecula Valley Hospital). The college is institutionally accredited by ACCET and was voted Antelope Valley Press 'Best Career College' five years running.
Healthcare programs span the career ladder: Nursing Assistant, Clinical Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Medical Billing & Coding, Sterile Processing (CRCST prep through HSPA), Phlebotomy, Ultrasound, Vocational Nursing (BVNPT-approved with NCLEX-PN exam fees included in tuition), and a BRN-approved Associate Degree Nursing program at Lancaster.
Most programs run in a hybrid format — online theory with hands-on labs and clinical externships — with day and evening schedules for working students.
