Imagine America

Who can participate?

The Imagine America Foundation's Imagine America Scholarship Program is open to any private postsecondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

How much does it cost?

Each participating career college pays a small annual participation fee. Individual scholarships are supported by the institution.

How many institutions honor the scholarships?

More than 500 career colleges and schools are now enrolled in the program. To date, more than 32,000 Imagine America scholarships have been awarded.

Why should my school participate?

In addition to attracting new students to your school, your small contribution will go to support an innovative public awareness program which will bring long overdue recognition to the important role our institutions play in providing education and training for the workforce. Through that exposure, more counselors, parents and students will consider career training and education.

What's the likelihood of my career college attracting students from outside my immediate area?

During the first eight years of the Imagine America Scholarship Program, a high percentage of students (nearly half) chose to attend career colleges outside of their local community or state.

Why do non-members of the Career College Association have to pay more?

The costs of running and promoting Imagine America Foundation's programs outside the Career College Association (CCA) membership are higher since these costs are not maintained by CCA.

Are the scholarships renewable?

No, the Imagine America Foundation's Imagine America program offers a one-time, non-renewable scholarship only to graduating high school seniors.

How many students will be attending my school on one of these scholarships?

You decide based on your institution's willingness to honor as many scholarship students as you wish. The web-based Imagine America Scholarship Program will allow each participating career college to easily manage and direct their own scholarships.

Imagine America Military Award Program (MAP)

Who can participate?

The Imagine America Foundation's Imagine America Military Award Program (MAP) is open to any private postsecondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

How much does it cost?

Each participating career college pays an annual participation fee. The institution the student will attend supports the individual MAP awards.

How many institutions honor MAP awards?

More than 250 career colleges and schools are now enrolled in the program. To date, more than 1,200 Imagine America MAP awards have been awarded.

Why should my college participate?

In addition to attracting new students to your college, your contribution will support an innovative new aid program that recognizes the important contribution of our country's active duty and honorably discharged armed forces.

What's the likelihood of my career college attracting students from outside my immediate area?

The Imagine America Foundation has forged an innovative strategic alliance with Military.com, the largest armed services affinity organization in the United States, to assist in publicizing this program. This innovative alliance will inform more than 3 million members of Military.com of the availability of the MAP awards through its web site, www.military.com.

Why do non-members of the Career College Association have to pay more to participate?

The benefits of membership in the Career College Association (CCA) include reduced rates for programs like MAP. Non-member colleges pay the full program costs.

Are the MAP awards renewable?

No, all MAP awards are one-time, non-renewable grants provided to entering, first-year students.

How many students will be attending my school using MAP aid?

You decide the total number of MAP awards to give to students attending your college each year. Our innovative web-based MAP program allows each participating career college to easily manage and direct their own award program. However, we suggest that each participating career college offer a minimum of 15 MAP awards for each program year.

Imagine America Online

Who can participate?

The Imagine America Foundation's Imagine America Online (IA) awards program is open to any private postsecondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

How do you determine student eligibility?

Each IA Online applicant must complete the Imagine America Online Student Assessment with satisfactory results.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost for the award to the prospective student. Each participating career college pays a modest annual participation fee. The institution which the student attends supports the individual IA Online awards.

Which institutions offer IA Online awards?
