Imagine America Foundation Salutes America's Vets and Military Members on Veteran's Day 2014
Washington, D.C. (Nov. 11, 2014) – Bravery, commitment and self-sacrifice are among the characteristics that make Americans proud of their veterans and active service members. Those qualities are also ingrained in the veterans who take on new missions as students in our nation's career college classrooms with tuition assistance from the Imagine America Foundation.
This Veteran’s Day, the Imagine America Foundation would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to all veterans and current members of the military. Your service to our nation represents uncommon generosity and immeasurable courage that ultimately provides our country the gift of freedom.
Since the founding of our organization, we have provided cash grants and scholarship awards to nearly 15,000 military students from all branches of the military, who have served our nation at home, overseas, and on battlefields. The amount of the Foundation’s contributions to our nation’s veterans now total nearly $400,000 - a number that continues to grow each year, along with the pride we feel in being able to offer support to these students.
We at the Foundation deeply appreciate your commitment to America. We feel caring of our veterans is a responsibility that touches all Americans. On Veteran's Day, it is important that we reflect on those who served in conflicts around the globe, as well as those who have served in support of the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is our hope that the contributions of all veterans is apparent not just on this day of celebration and reflection, but every day of the year.
