The Imagine America Foundation Offers Adult Learners Tuition Assistance
(Washington, DC) – Working adults seeking higher education now have help with educational expenses through the Imagine America Foundation’s Adult Skills Education Program (ASEP). ASEP is offering $1,000 in tuition assistance to eligible adult learners enrolling in participating Imagine America career colleges. Unfortunately, private grants and scholarships are not equally distributed to adult learners. To help fill that void and to reach out to a larger and extremely deserving student population, the Imagine America Foundation created ASEP.
“Over 50% of all students attending career colleges are over the age of 25,” says Robert L. Martin, president of the Imagine America Foundation. “Thirty percent of the students enrolled in career colleges are single mothers and more than 75% of the students are employed while enrolled.”
Built on the success of ASEP’s award-winning Imagine America high school scholarship program and the innovative Military Award Program (MAP), ASEP is the only national award program designed specifically to help adult learners enrolling at career colleges.
Eligible students should enroll in a participating college and meet those college requirements, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma, GED or pass an Ability to Benefit test and complete the NCCT Educational Success Assessment.
Students can apply for the scholarship online at www.imagine-america.org. For those who don’t have a computer or access to email, they can call the Imagine America Foundation at 202.336.6800.
