The Accrediting Commission of the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools (NATTS)

NATTS was officially recognized by the United States Office of Education as an accrediting agency in January of 1967. Later that year, NATTS began accepting applications from data processing/computer schools that were not served by what was then called the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools (AICS). NATTS was recognized again by the Office of Education in 1969, and by then the number of its accredited schools had grown to 189.
