Las Vegas, Nev. (June 27, 2008) – Edwin RamosRey is one exceptional individual, not
only as a student completing his degree in Pharmacy Technology at Heritage Institute but
also as a serviceman fulfilling his duty in the Army. RamosRey has served his country
honorably and pursued his educational career with fortitude.
RamosRey will be honored next week by the Imagine America Foundation with a $5,000
cash grant toward completing his current career education from Heritage Institute in
Jacksonville, Fla.
As part of the annual Career College Association Convention and Exposition, the
Imagine America Foundation will host the 2008 LDRSHIP Awards at a sit-down
luncheon from noon to 2:15 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Resort &
Casino in Las Vegas. The Imagine America Foundation is the research and scholarship providing
arm of the career college sector. RamosRey’s award was funded by
contributors to the Foundation’s 21st Century Workforce Fund.
The award is given to six men and women who attend career colleges nationwide that
have demonstrated exceptional military service and represent the epitome of the
LDRSHIP Award: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and
Personal Courage.
RamosRey has believed he is part of something bigger than himself since serving in the
Army. His honors include the Bronze Star Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, nine
Army Commendation Medals, nine Army Achievement Medals, five Army Good
Conduct Medals, and a Presidential Unit Citation. Throughout his college career,
RamosRey has maintained a 4.0 GPA and 100% attendance rate.

Heritage College. “He has motivated others with his leadership, outstanding academic
record and optimistic attitude. He truly embodies the best attributes in all he pursues.”
